Beginning on
April 22nd through the 29th, the Department of Commerce will be
celebrating Earth Week. "We need to take care of our environment
and continue to educate our people on environmental management",
states an EPA official.
Earth Week will be sponsored by the Le
Tausagi Group. A group of environmentalists that aim to
design, develop, and promote an effective environmental education
curriculum. This curriculum will be used by the Department of
Education as well as all environmental agencies.
Activities will include Fagatele Bay National Marine Sanctuary Tours,
Plant-A-Tree Day, Carpool Day, and Environmental Career Workshops. |
