MISSION
STATEMENT
The American Samoa Territorial Criminal Justice Planning Agency (CJPA)
coordinates the Territorial Criminal Justice Comprehensive Plan which
establishes the program goals, priorities, and standards for the
reduction of crime and delinquency and improvement of the administration
of justice in the Territory of American Samoa.
The Criminal Justice Planning Agency serves as the clearinghouse for all
criminal justice system grants for American Samoa, and coordinates sub grants, resource coordination, and other financial assistance, pubic
awareness and technical assistance and training, and project support for
criminal justice agencies. It is also the clearinghouse of criminal justice information, and provides research, data, model
legislation, and evaluation relating to the criminal justice system and
crime in American Samoa to the Governor and criminal justice agencies.
